The Amazing Cerec

Click here for AmazonThe smile is one of our greatest personal assets. We can now help you maintain and improve your smile - more conveniently than ever before! A new instrument called CEREC 3D allows us to offer natural-looking, high- quality ceramic "fillings" or restorations, completed and placed in a single office visit. We provide the following information to help you better understand the instrument and its use.

What is CEREC 3D?

.......CEREC is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. Translated, it means that we can quickly and economically restore damaged teeth using a durable ceramic material that matches the natural color of other teeth in your mouth.

How does CEREC 3D work?

.......First, we prepare the damaged tooth by painting a thin layer of reflective powder directly on the tooth's surface. Using a special camera, we then take a picture of the tooth. We work from this photo, which is actually a pin-sharp optical impression of the tooth.

.......Computer Aided Design technology helps us design the restoration from the optical impression. You can actually watch us design your new restoration on a full-color computer monitor right before your eyes!

...a growing number of dentists are borrowing the luxuries typically found in day spas to create a relaxing, more inviting dental experience for their patients. In some cases, they're actually combining the two concepts to create a new type of business known as a "dental spa..."

The experts say the best smiles are a result of good overall oral hygiene, not fancy whitening treatments. "People are missing the concept of keeping their gums healthy," said Dr. Harold Katz, a dentist to the stars in Los Angeles and founder of the California Breath Clinics. "Most whiteners leave one thing out and that's cleaning in-between your teeth. That's why flossing is so important." ...
